Getting started
Every theme you buy arrives as a single .zip file. Installing it is the same as any other WordPress theme, and takes about two minutes.
Download your file
- Sign in and go to My account → Downloads.
- Click the theme name to download the
.zip. - Leave it zipped — WordPress wants the
.zip, not the unpacked folder.
The same link was emailed to you when you bought, and it never expires. If a new version is released it appears in the same place.
Install it in WordPress
- In your WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Themes.
- Click Add New Theme, then Upload Theme.
- Choose the
.zipand click Install Now. - Click Activate.
That is the whole install. There is no licence key to enter and no activation step.
What to do first
- Set your logo and site title — Appearance → Editor → Styles, or Settings → General.
- Pick a style variation to set the whole palette and typography at once.
- Set your homepage under Settings → Reading if you want a static front page.
- Build your pages with the included patterns rather than from a blank canvas.
The theme looks empty at first
That is expected. These themes ship with layouts, not demo content — no fake posts or images are inserted into your database. Add a page, insert a pattern, and it fills out immediately.
If the upload fails
The most common cause is an upload limit on your host. If you see “The link you followed has expired” or “exceeds the maximum upload size”, ask your host to raise upload_max_filesize and post_max_size to at least 64 MB. Alternatively, unzip the file and upload the folder to /wp-content/themes/ over SFTP.
If WordPress says “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet”, you have most likely uploaded a zip that contains another zip. Unzip it once and re-zip the inner theme folder.
Updating later
Download the newest .zip from your account, then install it the same way and choose Replace current with uploaded. Your pages, content and Site Editor changes are stored in the database, not in the theme, so they survive the update.
Before any update
Take a backup. If you have edited theme files directly, your changes will be overwritten — use a child theme or the Site Editor instead, both of which are update-safe.
